Kem weber was born in Berlin, Germany in 1889.  He attended the School of the Royal Arts and Crafts Museum  where he became a trained Architect.  In 1914, Weber got the opportunity to oversee the construction of the German exhibits at the Panama-Pacific Exposition in San Francisco.  The outbreak of World War I made it impossible for Kem to return home to Germany.
